A Texas-based Yoruba advocacy organisation, Yoruba United Worldwide, Inc., has announced that it is organising an event in North America tagged, ‘Oodua World Summit’.
The group said the summit is a “Conference of Agenda for all well-meaning Yoruba/Oodua advocates and organisations in North America” where they will get the opportunity to discuss important issues of common interest and concerns.
Leaders of many organisations including foremost Yoruba Nation campaigner, Prof Banji Akintoye, are expected to be in attendance to air their views on the goings-on in the global Yoruba community.
The group, in a statement, said, “At the Conference of Agenda, slated for this coming Saturday, December 11, 2021, the Organization said it’s looking forward to a robust discuss on many critical issues anchored on the way forward towards the successful attainment of a Sovereign Republic of Oduduwa Kingdoms, and by so doing, the community of Yoruba/Oodua indigenes in diaspora will ultimately identify their common grounds for a formidable and much-needed unity of purpose, which has been a major challenge to date.
“In essence, the main goal of these segmented summits is to find ways and means to harmonize the common goals of all in the community, align, and harness energies that are currently dissipating in different directions with very little results with intents to create a more impactful front for the common good of Oodua Land and her people across the world.”
