Jigawa Governor signs minimum wage into law, effective December 2019



Jigawa state Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has signed the new minimum wage into law.

The Governor signed the law at the Government House in Dutse after receivIng the final report of the new minimum wage committee.

The Governor directed the immediate payment of the new salary before the year 2020.

Chairman, Nigerian labour congress, Jigawa state, Sunusi Alhassan commended the Jigawa state governor for signing the law.

He also urged the workers in the state to reciprocate what have been given to them.

Chairman Joint negotiation committee, Hassan Auwalu said workers on level 1 to 7 will enjoy the full N30,000 minimum wage and workers on level 7 to above will benefit based on consequent adjustment
