Even after 20years "AFRICA" still Lives on - OAU



Management, Staff and students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, today remembers George Yemi Iwilade and four other students who were murdered in cold blood at the University Campus by an organised squad of cultist identified to be Black Axe confraternity on 10th of July, 1999.
According to the Press Release by the school management signed by the University Registrar M. I Omosule (Mrs), she explained that ever since the incident, the campus had seriously frowned against every act of cultism and cult-related activities.

Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, Vice Chancellor on behalf of the Council, Senate, Staff and Students of the University, uses this opportunity to condole with the relatives and associate of the victims of the massacre.


Eyitope also ensures members of the University community that the university administration would continue to uphold the lofty values of anti-cultism which the massacred students stoutly stood for.
