Driver trapped Dead in Lagos-Ibadan Road Accident

An early morning road crash on Tuesday might have claimed the life of a driver along the ever-busy Lagos-Ibadan Highway in Ogun State.

It was gathered that a commercial bus had rammed into a truck from behind, causing eyewitnesses to speculate that the driver and some others trapped in the “written off” bus might have died.

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps confirmed the incident.

The Spokesperson of TRACE corps, Cdr Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed that “there was a fatal accident around Foursquare Camp axis inbound Lagos of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, before Fidiwo bridge.

“The bus driver is presumed dead as he was trapped. Rescue teams are on the ground making efforts to remove trapped victims.” he disclosed.

Akinbiyi urged drivers to apply caution while on the road, saying “safety takes you home.”
