“My New Year resolution is for Tonto Dikeh to carry my triplets”- Uche Maduagwu

Nigerian actor, Uche Maduagwu, has opened up on his New Year resolution for 2022.

The outspoken actor in an exclusive interview said he desires for Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh to carry his triplets.

According to him: “New resolutions are good, they are like short term goals. My New Year resolution is to make sure Tonto Dikeh carries my triplet. That is what I am working towards. I tell people that Tonto Dikeh is a beautiful woman. She is a good wife material, but she is not just lucky with men. Every person Tonto Dikeh has dated she feeds them, she clothes them. She is just so generous and people take it for granted. I told her ‘Keep your money, I am going to make my money, I am going to take good care of you. I am good I am not 40 seconds, I am one hour, I am two hours. In the kitchen anywhere she wants it, I will give it to her. Just give me triplets”.

Why I’ve never kissed any woman in movies –veteran Actor Ogogo Spills

Veteran actor and producer, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is known for his daring roles in movies. Often perceived as a disciplined and strict character, the 61year-old actor noted that anytime he plays a romantic role in movies, he cautions himself when it comes to having physical contact with a member of the opposite sex.
“I don’t really like romantic roles, but when I have to do them, I have my limitations. How would my wife and children feel if they always see me kissing other women in a movie? For example, I have never kissed a woman in a movie; the most I can do is to give them a peck.

“One particular actress tried to kiss me on a movie set. I won’t mention her name, but after the act, she confessed that she had been looking for an opportunity to kiss me. After that incident, such never happened again. I see everybody that comes to me as my fan, even women. If I tell you that I don’t have a girlfriend, will you believe it? Every well-built man will always be admired by ladies.”

Asked about his youthful look despite being at 60’s, Hassan noted that he still boxes in his home in order to keep fit.

I am used to getting compliments that I look young; the secret to having this physique is boxing. I used to be a boxer, and I still box in my house to keep my body in shape. I am still a young man at heart, I love listening to songs by Olamide and Small Doctor. I can still act action movies like Owo Blow even though at my 60’s I can still play the role of an armed robber in movies, to tell you how fit I am,” he said.

The Power of Unity

Many people who are opposed to the realisation of an independent Yoruba nation separate from Nigeria often rejoice when there is one form of disarray or another in the Yoruba self-determination camp. They claim that the formation of many organisations and groups is a sign of disunity, with everyone jostling to be the leader.

Alas, if only they knew that the Yoruba people are unique, highly spirited, dogged and resolute in their beliefs that the right thing ought always to be done, in whatever settings they find themselves. If Yoruba people feel that something somewhere is not right, it is only a matter of time before you will begin to see them walking away.

In a bid to unify the various self-determination groups, 2021 saw several efforts implemented by a variety of people across many different quarters. With the advocacy for an independent Yoruba nation entering a strategic phase, it would require nothing short of the power of the Almighty Himself to create the necessary unity.

Not least of these efforts was the three-day marathon of fasting and prayers conducted between 28th – 30th December 2021. This sought to bring every Yoruba descendant from all faiths to a single platform. Like Esther in the Bible, this endeavour was spearheaded by a very prominent Yoruba leader, Barr. Janet Fashakin. Barr. Fashakin had a dream in which she saw mighty hands holding down the Yoruba people destiny in Nigeria, and so she rallied everyone to a three-day marathon of fasting and prayer.

In the knowledge that God Himself was the one directing the whole affair, Yoruba people from across the different faiths – Christians, Islam and Traditional worshippers – gathered united in one virtual place for the three days of prayers. This was the first meeting of its kind in the history of the Yoruba people. We have always had situations where people from the three faiths gather together in public or social functions, and where prayers are offered simultaneously by the three faith groups. However, to have people of the three faiths gather in one place, locked together for three days in a single prayer room united in one accord and calling with one voice to their God is nothing short of a miracle.

There is no doubt that God’s hand was truly ready to fight for the Yoruba people, as we saw people across the whole age spectrum, from children to aged people, coming together to pray. Our eminent Emeritus Prof. Banji Akintoye was present, as well as leaders of the various self-determination organisations, and such great spiritual leaders as Chief Imam Aduranigba of Yoruba land (Imam Ilorin) and Prof. Wande Abimbola, the Awise Agbaye Yoruba (former Vice Chancellor of OAU Ife). Also present were Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji (current CACWW General Evangelist), Prophet S K Abiara (Founder CAC Agbala Itura) and many other Christian, Muslim and Traditional leaders.

It is worthy of note that what the arm of flesh could not achieve, the arm of God was able to bring to pass with such ease. One may ask what the big deal is in people converging together, not least people from different faiths. However, this is the first gathering of its kind, where all Yoruba people came together in one place for prayers, irrespective of their religion. This continues to demonstrate our collective forbearance to one another and the power of a common goal in superseding what may otherwise be perceived to divide us.

We demonstrated that the Yoruba people can come together in one accord, to collectively pursue a common goal, and this we did successfully in those three days. With the fasting now behind us, it is time to trust Eledumare for all the promises and iwùres (blessings) that were poured out by our spiritual and political leaders.

I would also like to use this opportunity and medium to congratulate everyone who was present in the spiritual exercise. May I also congratulate every Yoruba person around the globe looking forward to welcoming the birth of our new nation, brought about through Eledumare’s answer to our prayers. Just like the angels of the Lord told Sara in Genesis 18, that by this time next year, you will be with child; I am taking this moment to prophesy that by this time next year, we would look forward to the birth of our new independent Yoruba nation.

Though the vision may have been given to one person or several, it took the handiwork of a great multitude to see that the prayer marathon was successful. I want therefore to use this medium to say a big Thank You to all the organisers of the prayer event for their effort devoted towards the successful program. May your cup never run dry and may God Almighty refill you in whatever aspects of virtue may have been depleted during this time of prayer.

I must not forget to mention the hard work being carried out on a daily basis by our various Yoruba self-determination media outlets. When the going got tough, they have remained focused, persevering to continue the media campaign across various quarters. They have persisted in shining the light of truth on the dark deeds of the Nigerian government and exposing them to the world. They continue to be our voice to those around the globe and we appreciate you for all your efforts.

For the prayers being offered for Chief Sunday Adeyemo “Igboho Oosa”, they have been accepted in the heavens and, sooner rather than later, he will breathe the fresh air of freedom. For those with heavy hearts, I say let your minds be at peace. Let God do the battle for the Yoruba people in this 2022, as we have committed everything to him.

To those who are still on the fence, I urge you to know that when God was determined to save the Israelites from Egypt, there were many such “Israelites” who were unprepared. It lengthened their journey through the wilderness to their promised land, and ultimately many of them died without ever seeing it. Let us wake from our slumber and discover that an Independent Yoruba nation is inevitable, our only opportunity to build for ourselves and our children a lasting legacy of joy and prosperity for the future. Join the train now before it is too late.
